World War I Projects
Unfortunately, due to current circumstances, we could not complete the topic of World War I in school in March. However, as a task for 5th/6th class at home, they were offered the opportunity to study about this War themselves and present projects. I have been so impressed by some of the presentations that I received and here are some of these projects below. Well done to all.
St Brigid's Crosses
With the help of the amazing Sr. Anna, we got to make our own St Brigid's crosses for people in our community. It was fantastic to see the class give something back to the community.
General Election 2020
5th and 6th class got the opportunity to research all the candidates that were running for election in their constituency. The children were free to study all candidates and make their personal decision on who they believed was the best person to elect. Following on from this, we held our own mock General Election.
News2Day Visit
Cillian from RTE's News2day came to visit our class to discuss our participation in Laya Healthcare's 'Super Troopers' programme. We got to show off our knowledge on healthy eating and our participation in the active activities we do in class and at home. We enjoyed Cillian visiting our class!
Goal Jersey Day
On Friday 11th October, we had a Goal jersey day in school. Each child got the opportunity to wear their jersey and also raise some money for charity.
Rugby World Cup 2019
The class have had a keen interest in the Rugby World Cup. Each child has been given a country to follow and also present a project on in the class.
The Big Dig
Celebrating Dublin's 5 in a row!!
We celebrated Dublin's fantastic success by creating mirror art designs of Dublin stars Paul Mannion and Brian Fenton. We also had a blue day!!! Up the Dubs!!!
