Mexico Day
Fifth and Sixth class worked very hard on projects on Mexico. They presented their fine work to the class and got the opportunity to sample some Mexican cuisine! It appeared to be a little spicy for some!
Marathonkids- Final Mile
5th and 6th class were delighted to finally complete their Marathonkids 'run a marathon' in Tallaght Athletics club. They undertook the mission of running multiple laps a day in their stride and really enjoyed the challenge. They were presented with their medals after their final mile and should be very proud of this achievement.

The children celebrated Maths week between the 16th and 24th October. They enjoyed doing puzzles, trails and maths quizzes throughout these days. Some pictures from their trail are below!
Happy Halloween
Halloween was great fun to celebrate in school. It was fabulous to see such a wide range of creative costumes. The children also enjoyed making some Halloween art in the week leading up to it!
Goal Jersey Day
Space Week
We had great fun during Space Week! The class created their own planets and then designed them with balloons and papier mache. Check out some of our pictures below!
Cricket
We have had terrific fun learning cricket with Naomi from Cricket Leinster. We were delighted to receive some equipment to get us prepared for some matches after Christmas!!!
Ballyroan Library local history zoom
We enjoyed taking part in a Zoom with Historian in residence, Liz Gillis. She taught us about our local area and its people during the Irish fight for independence. It was very interesting and the children were very engaged and enjoyed using the resources provided. Thank you to Ballyroan Library for organising this.
Marathonkids
We are currently taking part in the Marathonkids challenge. This is an eight week challenge that educates the children on the benefits of exercise to us all, both mentally and physically. The children will run the equivalent of a marathon over these eight weeks. Though quite challenging, we are enjoying it!!
Making Rain Gauges
The class enjoyed learning about the weather in Geography this week. As part of their learning, they got the opportunity to create their own rain gauges using plastic bottles. We left them out in our school garden and recorded the rainfall after a week.
